Sector 01 — Studio Rogers
housing.
"Every home we design carries the full weight of what it means to belong somewhere."
Over three decades, Studio Rogers has designed more than 1,600 social and affordable homes across Northern Ireland — working with housing associations, land trusts and public bodies to bring architectural rigour to one of the most urgent needs in the built environment.
We understand housing not as a product to be replicated, but as a form of care. Each scheme is shaped around the community it will serve — its site, its scale, and the lives that will be lived within it. Compact, generous, durable, and designed to age well.
Our experience spans single dwellings to large mixed-tenure neighbourhoods. From feasibility and planning through to tender and completion, we manage housing projects from first principle to handover.

our approach.
We bring the same depth of thinking to a terrace of 12 social homes as we do to a landmark public building. Housing is architecture. It always has been.
Community-first design
We begin with people. Every housing project starts with an understanding of who will live there — their daily lives, their need for privacy and shared space, and the fabric of the community they're joining or creating. Layouts, orientation, threshold design: all considered against lived experience.
Sustainable by default
Passive House principles, solar orientation, high-performance envelope design, and whole-life carbon thinking are embedded in our process from day one — not retrofitted. We have Certified Passive House Designers in-house and regularly achieve EPC A ratings across our social housing portfolio.
Delivery-focused
Housing must be built. Our thirty-year track record with housing associations, DfC, and private developers means we understand procurement, programme, and budget constraints at every stage. We produce detailed, buildable packages that contractors price confidently and build efficiently.
